Private Scheme Plans
These plans provide a defined set of health care services to an enrolled population of individuals/corporate organizations/groups at an affordable cost.
COMMUNITY HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME
The health of the communities is critical to much needed economic growth and development because healthy populations are capable of being more productive. In Nigeria, about 70% of the population form the Informal Sector and majority of this group live in the rural/urban communities and do not have access to modern health facilities. Community Health Insurance is a form of Health Insurance that provides basic/advance health services to people by designated public and private hospitals within the targeted communities. The Scheme is developed as a response to the growing health needs of people who are entitled to quality and affordable medical services but are presently not covered under the health insurance scheme.
